Where Is the Line Between Religious Faith and Pure Delusion?

Question by Q Who?: Where is the line between religious faith and pure delusion?
As an atheist I know I might say “What line?”, but honestly, for you religious people, how would you know the difference between, say, a hallucination and god (or some other divinity you might believe in)? If you had a clear “tangible” vision of your god, would you think you were delusional? What if you had a vision where your god asked you do do something against morality?
Thank you!
