Can I Go to My University to Get Diagnosed for Depression?

Question by drock3404: Can I go to my University to get diagnosed for depression?
This is what it says on their website -“The health fee (included in your tuition) covers the cost of the office visit with our providers, while other services are provided at a reduced fee.” – Does this cover a doctors visit to get a prescription? I have no insurance and not a lot of money.

Well you can go to the health office and talk to the doctor or nurse that is there. I’m sure they can set you up with someone at a reduced cost.
Also, have you tried to talk to your parents or a counselor or adviser on campus? They can also help you.

Hi

Im sure you can approach them and ask without going into too much detail. Just mention that you are enquiring with regards to a possible mental health problem and see what they say. They may suggest that you speak to one of their student counsellors who may then be able to suggest the most appropriate course of action.

By simply enquiring you cant lose out.

Good luck…………………..x…………….
