No amount of conditioning will get rid of split ends. It’s like when you rip paper, you can’t really put it back together. You can tape it back, but it’s still damaged.
Go ahead and trim your dead ends off.

After that, take really good care of your hair to prevent split ends. Split ends are inevitable, but you can prolong how often you get them.

As for taking care of your hair, there are lots of good drug store brands that do a good job. In my experience, a good cheap brand that really smooths your hair is Dove. Also, to keep your hair healthy, do your own hot oil treatments. It’s really cheap, and it’s super moisturizing for your hair! You can google “diy hot oil treatment” and you will find tons of good recipes. It’s as easy as heating up some olive oil and putting it in your hair for an hour, and then shampooing it out. Your hair will feel amazing.

Good luck.
