I Need to Call the Therapist So I Can Start Getting CBT – but I’m Too Scared to Use the Phone?

Question by : I need to call the therapist so I can start getting CBT – but I’m too scared to use the phone?
I can use the phone when I have to but I get so nervous.. and since I technically don’t have to use the phone I tell myself I should just avoid it. I have had social anxiety and depression for many years now. I had self help therapy for a bit in the past but I gave up.. I want CBT now but I am worried I will be put on the phone with the same therapist as before and I didn’t really find him that useful..

If you go on the internet, you can SEARCH for phone numbers to FREE COUNSELORS that can listen to you anytime of the day or night! Go to any search engine and just type in “free counseling hotline”… (I’m not allowed to tell you the numbers because it will violate the Answers Community Guidelines and/or Yahoo! Terms of Service.)
