Dysthymia and Building Mental Health Disordered Communities on College Campuses?

Question by Pirat3chic: Dysthymia and Building Mental Health Disordered Communities on College Campuses?
For any type of organization you could imagine there is a club or group of people that rally behind it. I’m sick of feeling like i’m not reprsented…thinking about joind a mental health awreness club on my school’s campus. Why should we depressed, anxiious, or otherwise suffering be isolated and remote? What do you think?

“Why should we depressed, anxious, or otherwise suffering be isolated and remote? What do you think?”

Probably because they are largely person afflictions that largely impact a single person. I’m not sure if you’re trying to suggest that other people should have to to share in your depression.

“What do you think?”

I don’t ask for help or support when dealing my personal issues (ADD,Dyslexia, and OCD), there are my problems and IMHO it would be rude into impose them on other people. As such I expect others to keep their personal issues to themselves. If wanted to hear about them, I’d ask.
