Does a Psychiatrist Spend One on One Time With the Patient?

Question by Taylor: Does a psychiatrist spend one on one time with the patient?
I want to be a psychologist, but psychiatrist is basically the same thing but with the ability to prescribe medicine.

But i want to know does a psychiatrist talk to the patient and give “mental therapy” ???
hm then where would i work in to spend time with the patient and use pyschologic treatment?

Depends on where you work. Private practice, do what you want. Hospital? give pills. Clinic? Depends on the needs of the agency.
