So I’ve been hearing people say that Demi Lovato has been through a lot… but I wanna know what exactly happened to her and why she went to rehab. thankss.

had been wondering about this too, so I decided to go searching for answers! 🙂
Here’s what I found:
Mainly Demi Lovato’s representative said that she went to rehab for “personal reasons” but as they got into detail, they also said that it was because she was bulimic and also had a cutting problem. Though, I personally don’t think it was because of Selena (if their friendship actually had ended), but that she was extremely stressed. Demi works harder than any other 17 year old and that is very stressful. The Jonas Brothers had the tour but she also had to manage her show, Sonny with a Chance, had to promote that show, while at the same time she had to both promote Camp Rock 2 and the Jonas Brothers tour. I think that’s a lot to handle and her insecurities since middle school (her past issues with her biological father…. her recent breakup with Joe Jonas, or the horrible bullying she endured when she was younger….or the bullying she endures now with ravage teenage girls continually commenting on her body and voice and talent all the time) caught up with her and she started cutting again.
I know for a fact, though, that she definitely isn’t doing drugs, and her reps actually denied any substance abuse. Like I’ve said, she’s purely in rehab for emotional and physical issues (though, like I said, I don’t think it has to do with Selena).
