John Greden, MD and Treatment Resistant Depression – John Greden, MD, Executive Director, University of Michigan Comprehensive Depression Center; Research Professor, Molecular and Behavioral Neurosciences Institute; and Chair, National Network of Depression Centers. Greden has spent his entire career as “depressionologist” trying to deal recurrent depression and how to develop better diagnostic tests, better treatments that get people better and keep them better. Of the 15-16% of the population who have depression, 30% are treatment resistant. Much more work needed in the early diagnosis and treatment. To try help accomplish that, Greden and a team of experts from the University of Michigan Depression Center wrote the book, Treatment Resistant Depression A Roadmap for Effective Care.
