How To: Avoid Overexercise…

How to: Avoid Overexercise… – Ok so I’m going to tell a story in here really quick after the info thingy This is a reupload from RHN, witha few things changed… Exercising/Sport/Movement is so much a gift (can you tell this is my field of study by any chance =P) that is all too often regarded as a chore, begrudged or even abused. Overexercise is an issue that many people with eating disorders deal with as a “passive” purging mechanism, or as way to release. Nope NO MORE! You exercise, move engage in sport harmoniously with your body AND then it brings you joy! I am NOT liscenced to treat Eating Disorders and the very minimal healthcare I am liscensed to provide I would not responsibly do so without seeing and evaluating the person seeking my advice. What is in this video is strictly my opinion as a competive athlete, coach for youth and eating disorder survivor. Pleas direct any questions to your own health care provider. Ok so story. I know this guy who is a rec therapist for psychiatry..and he designed a rec program for ed patients and he has this thing that they are not really exercising but rather torturing themselves. He finds it astounding that they manage to run with about as much grace as elephants which is ironic as they weigh a only a fraction of what an elephant does and lift weights that will never build anything…(oh he’s my trainer too-the one in my off season).Ok maybe its more funny when he says it but I think that he may be right…
